Connect – Examine – Empower – Transform is a multi-stakeholder forum that will explore the impact and effectiveness of the Gatsby Benchmarks and Careers Education in Haringey – with emphasis in the east of the Borough. The event will be an opportunity for diverse stakeholders; young people, headteachers/principals, career leaders, employers and other professionals across sectors to explore current provision, best practice and resources needed to ensure that young people in Haringey are able to access the best careers education within schools/colleges. It will be an excellent learning, information sharing and networking opportunity for attendees.
Context
The world of work is complex and dynamic providing ever greater challenge to how we inform, empower, prepare and support young people to make informed decisions on the best pathways to follow in pursuit of their career aspirations.
This event is part of our Brighter Futures Project (BFP). BFP is a research project funded by the Youth Futures Foundation and supported by the Career and Enterprise Company. The research is looking at the Gatsby Benchmarks and the wider socio-economic impacts on available careers education and how we can collectively work to improve available guidance in our local schools/colleges.
