NLPC have been providing employment and enterprise support for the past 19 years, including delivery of welfare to work projects such as SRB, ERDF, ESF, and DWP – helping hundreds of people to unlock their potential and reach their goals. We adopt a person centred approach to our service provision–focusing on providing solutions to identified barriers circumstances.

WELFARE TO WORK PROJECTS: We have over 20 years’ experience of welfare to work training, employment and enterprise support. Over the years we have supported over 5000 people to change their lives for the better. We deliver a range of welfare to work projects aimed at both the long and short term unemployed. We have dedicated teams of Employment Advisors throughout our London offices who work intensely with customers to get them back on track towards career development through 1-2-1 support, personal development, employability skills, vocational training, work placements and volunteering, and of course, ultimately sustainable employment.

We know there are many things that mean the jobs market can be difficult for some people. You may have been out of work caring for a child or relative. You may have a health condition or disability. Or you may not have been employed for a while and don’t have the confidence or skills to look for work again. Whatever the circumstances, we will find ways to help, support and make employment work for you.

NLPC and partners are currently delivering the Haringey Higher Level Skills Project (HHLS). The Project is funded by GLA/ESF and Haringey Council. The project supports Haringey residents 18+ into sustainable jobs and accredited Level 3 training in 4 key sectors-Railway Engineering, Construction, Health and Social Care and Child Care. Participants are assigned to a dedicated 1-2-1 Employment Advisor.

  • Help you work out how to become ‘better off’
  • Help you manage barriers like childcare, travel and work clothing

ENTERPRISE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP: In this difficult economic climate, self-employment and starting your own business is an important and viable option for people who have found themselves unemployed, under-employed or employed but looking for a career change or wishing to realise their dream of self–employment or business ownership.

Whether you are completely new to business, not sure of where / how to start or you need help to progress your ideas – this course will provide you with tools and knowledge you need.
