BRIGHTER FUTURES PROJECT

This was a Haringey Employment Support Project (HESP) funded by The Greater London Authority. It aimed to support Haringey residents, who were employed but wanted an increase in their income as well as those who were unemployed. This project helped numerous individuals get into employment and others to successfully transition into a new career.
We also offered in-work support, recruitment open days and workshops for:

  • Employability
  • Interview techniques
  • CV writing

ESTATE REGENERATION FUND COMMUNITY VOTING DAY

This was a Participatory Budgeting regeneration project that aimed to work with Haringey residents to agree on suitable improvements needed in their community.

BREAKING DIGITAL BARRIERS

This was an ESF (European Social Fund) funded project aimed at providing existing ESF participants with access to digital devices.  Participants were provided with a 3 months access to Wifi data and/or Laptops/Tablets, which supported their job search activities. The digital devices enabled Participants to gain access to employability and job support applications such as Office 365 and Zoom. This support was very much appreciated by Participants, considering the impact of COVID-19 including the closures of libraries and internet cafes.

HARINGEY COMMUNITY GOLD YOUNG LONDON FUND

Haringey Community Gold is a project that targets young people, aged 16-21 living in Haringey and surrounding boroughs by helping them discover their talents as well as fulfil their potential. Funded by the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund, the project is delivered by a consortium of 10 cross sector partners. Led by Haringey Council and NLPC as the Managing Agent. The range of service provision includes community outreach engagement, mental wealth and wellbeing, sports and recreational activity, healthy eating and physical wellbeing, leadership mentoring and employment.

This project aims to provide aspirational and positive activities to help support young people to make positive choices and reach their potential. Give new options to young people most at risk of taking the wrong path and stop them getting involved in violence and criminal activity. Improve coordination and capacity of London’s youth offer so more young people can access services
